Objective
- We aim to develop a website that can showcase Malay's Art, culture and tradition to the world.
- Our objective is also to give knowledge about how Malay origins express their feelings which is through this cultural arts, for example is through Malays's cultural dance.
- We also help to promote Malaysia as an outstanding tourist destination.
Brief Description
Malaysia is a known multi-ethnic and multicultural country that features people of different religion, country and race live in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. Two integral aspects of the culture of Malaysia involve diversifying musical and dances from all the folks and races. Both the music and dance of Malaysia have evolved from more basic needs into the spellbinding, complex art forms they are today.
Reminiscent of any other country, dance is a popular cultural form in Malaysia too. The influence of various cultures is inherent in the culture of Malaysia and it is also visible in its dance. Dance, of any nation state, does not only characterise the culture, but also make an inseparable part of entertainment. At times, you can find a particular dance known after some particular region. In fact, such dances act as an added attraction in celebrations, be it wedding parties, reception, religious ceremonies or any other event.
Our group will focus on the popular traditional Malay dance from the chosen state of Peninsular Malaysia. We have decided to divide the Peninsular Malaysia to 4 regions according to their geographical criteria. The 4 regions are Northern Region, East Coast Region, Central Region, and Southern Region. We will choose one or two traditional Malay dance to represent every region.
END-USERS AND TARGET AUDIENCE
- Our group have chosen this topic to introduce and expose traditional Malay dance to Malay youth generation and also to tourists that visit Malaysia.
- We also would like instill the interest for Malay culture and traditional arts in Malay youth generation, so that they will be able to appreciate it.
- The website also will provide a lot of information about traditional Malay culture, thus can help to attract tourists from all over the world to come and visit Malaysia
SUB-TOPIC AND DELEGATION OF DUTIES
We have discuss and agreed to delegate our website to 6 main categories. All team members has agreed to develop a categories which divided into 4 region in Peninsular Malaysia. The categories included with:
- Home Page
This part will be prepare by Nur Hafizah bt Mior Lahmudin. In this part, we will put an description about a Traditional Malay Dance. This is opening page, therefore we decided to put some interesting music, background and banner. The music and background should be connected with the Malay traditional dance.
- North Region
This part will be prepared by Nur Syazwani bt Muhamad. In North region, there have 3 different country which is Perlis, Kedah and Pulau Pinang. Therefore, in this part we are going to choose the Malay Traditional dance that are rare brought to the public. We also going to explain about the history of the dance. We are going to put some information in order to facilitate tourists looking for information about the dance.
- South Region
This part will be prepared by Farra Adilla Yanuar. In this region there are have 2 different country which is Melaka and Johor. Therefore we decide to choose the rare Malay Traditional dance in this 2 country either Melaka or Johor. We are going to put some information in order to facilitate tourists looking for information about the dance.
- East Region
This part will be handled by Wan Faizul and Banjar Anas. There are have 3 different country in east region which is Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan. We are also decided to choose either one from this 3 countries that have a unfamiliar Traditional Malay Dance. We are going to put some information in order to facilitate tourists looking for information about the dance.
- Central Region
This part will be prepared by Nur Zalilah Hanani bt Mat Zam. In this region, there have 3 different country which is Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Putrajaya. Same goes from the other region, we will choose from this 3 countries that have a unfamiliar Traditional Malay Dance. We are going to put some information in order to facilitate tourists looking for information about the dance.
- Travel Tips
In this sub-topic, we will provide some tips for tourist and visitor to find the places that provide a Traditional Malay dance show. Usually, the dance performances organized by culture house of each state. We will also provide the schedule of performances as a reference.
